Pilot Briefing: Begins at 6:45AM  

Tailgate: At Don & Debbie Oswald's Business location "DnD Packaging" same as last year. For those that may not know where that is, type in google map's: 156 E Avenue K6, Lancaster, Los Angeles, California 93535, or you could try to fly that way and land in the field next door like Don Oswald did last Sept.  I would like to see him do that again!!!!!

This is SCBA's first race of the year and will be a "Hare & Hound Race" plus Primo LUAU tailgate back at Don & Debbie's shop, so get out your favorite Hawaiian shirt, grass skirt and leis, and thermal underwear, don't worry it will warm up.

This is a reminder that we will be having the SCBA Too Hot To Fly Camp-out and picnic July 10, 11 & 12 at Emma Wood State Beach in Ventura. This will be the third consecutive year and once again, several SCBA members have purchased several campsites in a row to build a SCBA "compound" on the beach. SCBA members and family have reserved spots 39 to 47 as well as 50 and 52. You must have a campsite reserved in order to camp.

The official SCBA picnic will be held Saturday July 11 at 12:00 noon in the campground for those that just want to come out for the day. As in the past we will provide barbecued Tri-Tip, Chicken and hot dogs. We ask that everyone bring a side dish or dessert (or both!). This year your side dishes will count towards tailgate competition points so be creative! On Saturday we will also have a "fun" competition for balloon and crew points but not for pilot points, so show up if you want your points.

There will also be an SCBA board of Directors meeting on Saturday after lunch sometime, so come on out, beat the heat and enjoy the cool ocean air! I will be sending another E-mail early next week that will include directions and other last minute details.
